Fairthorne Real Estate

Fairthorne is another of the Greenville real estate communities developed and marketed by Betty Robbins. Once again it is a combination of townhomes and custom single family homes that was considered a gamble at the time - although the risk was not as large after the concept was proven across Barley Mill Road at Barley Mill Court. This is one of the few real estate communities in northern Delaware that contain a high percentage of contemporary homes. Built by Handler Corporation and Liddicoat Construction, this community has the unusual feature that both builders still live in the community. Most builders will not live in a community they built - something about "perpetual warranties"! The location is, of course, very good. Joe Biden lives just a 100 yards down Barley Mill Road (on the other side).
